Music Hall Centennial Commemorative Postcard

The postcard commemorating the 100th anniversary of Music Hall The Historic Preservation Postal Card honoring Cincinnati Music Hall was issued May 12, 1978. The postal card was designed by Clinton Orlemann of Cincinnati and about 20 million of the cards were printed by the United States Postal Service.

A ceremony was held at which the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra played the National Anthem, under the direction of Conductor Zdenek Macal. The Most Reverend Daniel E. Pilarczyk, Bishop of Cincinnati, gave the invocation and everyone was welcomed by Charles Westheimer, chair of the Music Hall Centennial Committee.

Joseph J. Scanlon, Postmaster of Cincinnati, presided over the ceremony at Music Hall and the address and presentation was given by John P. Doran, Regional Postmaster General of the Central Region, Chicago.
